Historical Commentary

Want to know how the Sword Dance came into being...or which dance depicts the shaking off of the 'hated trousers?

I can provide some entertaining historical background to some of the highland dances in addition to performing them.  This gives your guests a better understanding when watching the dancing as well as providing some great knowledge to use at the next pub quiz!

Address to the Haggis

"Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!"...

A Burns Supper or Scottish Evening wouldn't be complete without a rendition of Robert Burns' seminal poem.

I can provide a stirring rendition of this classic piece of Scottish literature from the country's most famous poet.

Your guests will love the drama as the haggis is cut open "wi ready slight"...finished off of course with a 'wee dram' in toast to the most Scottish of fayre.

Bagpiping

Pre-recorded bagpipe music is used to dance to.  If you would prefer live pipes (for both dancing and general playing) then I have contacts who can provide this.  Pipers may charge and their rates can vary - please enquire to check availability.
